Asda Mouldy Bread

Just a bit annoyed, so posting.
I had bought some bread from Asda, best before today. Just went to make breakfast of toast and it's got some quite large bright green mould on it.
So, eeewwwwww.
Can't take it back to complain/get a refund as that's a 5 mile round trip. So just slightly annoyed that it's gone off so quickly and all the money back guarantees in the world don't help if it'd cost you more to take it back!

Happy Sunday everybody... off to make noodles I guess.

I brought some rolls on Friday best before today. Yesterday evening I went to eat them and they had mould in them.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

I brought enough rolls to last me 2 days so I would have eaten it before they went off according to the "best before date."I'm not cynical I'm realistic

You could always e-mail or write to them and complain.0

Ducks should not be fed on bread. It swells up in their belly, so they're too full to eat things that they need for nutrition.feed them to the ducks
Not everybody has a freezer. I don't. And no room for one.ps i always freeze my bread - i get slized bread and then cook it in the toaster on the frozen bread section0 -
I tried that once before. A few years back I bought some cheese from them, in a pack and it was mouldy. I took photos of the cheese, the date panel, the bar code and contacted them. They just said "take it up with the cheese company". They were abroad, so I tried them and all they did was send me a cheap frisbee/hat and a cheese recipe leaflet. You could always e-mail or write to them and complain.0 -
Ring them, ive always found them very helpful.

I keep bread in the fridge in the warm weather, it actually tells you as much on some loaves0

There was a programme on TV recently about eating "out of date" food. The presenter toasted a piece of green mouldy bread and put butter and marmalade on it - said it tasted fine. I believe he is still alive !0
