Problem with AVG Internet Security 8.0

I turned my laptop on this morning and the Update Manager asked for a restart but now it is not working, saying "General Error - not enough free memory, write error".

The Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware are showing Outdated and the Web Shield & Resident Shield are showing Not Active.

The laptop (Dell) has Windows Vista and 93.4GB free of 136GB.

Please does anyone know what this means and advise how I can fix it?

    Try unistalling and reinstalling it.

    I have reinstalled it and it is OK now. I'm not techie at all, thank you for your help!

    These things sometimes randomly happen, some file gets corrupted somewhere and then the whole thing acts bizarre and can't fix itself.

    I read in another forum that you have to disable your local firewall (windows firewall, zonealarm etc.), update, then re-enable the firewall. Worked for me :)
