Regassing a Ford Ghia's air conditioning cost?

Have they checked all the seals first ? if not, all that gas will soon leak out again !0

It's worth paying extra for dye to be put in with the gas.
Then next time it needs gassing, any leaks are apparent, and can be fixed before paying another £55+ which might be a waste of money.0 -
We charge less, £50 inc VAT and £10 for the dye.
Was it empty? If so, could have a leak and dye would've been the way to go. How old is the car?Genie

Thanks for that. Basically, we took the car in because it was making a clicking sound when the aircon was on. They said it needed regassing and went ahead and did it.
Seems like £55 + VAT is slightly high given that you do it for £50 inc VAT.
The car is 03 reg.
Thanx

We've also got a Ford that has just had the air-con regassed and fully checked for leaks. The cost was £50+VAT (£58.75) total which i thought was fairly reasonably. It certainly works a lot better now than it did before!0

Costs do vary - if it is working fine now, then that is good. Don't think you have been stitched up - if that is what you are worring about.Genie
