Cash interest on my statement???
Comments

I also signed up to Betfair and used a credit card as I didn't realise about the interest thing or cash advance fees, but I pay off my card every month in full and on time and for the 3rd month in a row they're taking money off me. This time it's 50p. Last month, 56p and the month before, 50p.
Why are there's no instructions about this anywhere?
Thanks in advance for any help on this.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Thanks, it's Halifax Visa.
I've just overpaid my latest statement by £50. If that doesn't nuke it, nothing will! (I hope)Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

From http://www.halifax.co.uk/creditcards/conditions_7785.asp.Also, the following words have these special meanings:
Balance transfer – any balance we allow you to transfer from another UK account. Card – any credit card we give you or any additional cardholder to use with your account. Cash advance – cash, traveller's cheques or foreign currency obtained by using the card or money transfers, finance payments or gambling transactions made with the card. Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??

Thanks, but I don't understand the ongoing interest thing. And will the £50 I've overpaid kill it off for good? Ta.
PS. I'm a new user so it wouldn't let me include the Halifax link.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
