Debit card Chargeback, firm gone bust.

  • I am lucky - I paid with my debit card and got my money back. It seems that a VISA debit card offers more protection through Chargeback. I contacted my bank (Smile), they asked me to send proof of liquidation (copy of Go2Spain letter etc) and my account has now been credited. If your bank is denying knowledge write to them and say that there is a charge back scheme. There are time limits within the 'fulfillment' date - i.e. for me this was I had to claim within four months of the date that the goods weren't delivered (my travel date)

The only internet link I can find is:http://www.worldpay.com/support/kb/mergedProjects/disputemanagement/dm1100.htm

    Good luck!
