Morning all - I was awake at 4, 5, 6 and finally stopped dozing at 9ish

Lots of luck to Maz for the race today!
Lucy - that sounds more like a business meeting!! Could be interesting to see what she has to say for herself.
Bunny - glad you and Snags had a nice night, sounds great :rD
Can't decide what to do today, think I had more than my quota of housework yesterday - there's only the cr*ppy non-urgent but need to be done sometime jobs left. Probably do some food shopping and have a wander into town.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

I already generally walked quite a lot, but I started following a training plan about four months before - missed a few weeks on the way thanks to hurting my back and plain laziness
There's some good plans on here - http://www.marathonwalking.com/schedule.html - I followed the last 16 weeks of this one - http://www.marathonwalking.com/schedule_marathon.html - but I didn't do any cross training.. next time round I'll definitely do some thing else to help the strength in my legs, and try to get more miles training in.. cos those last few miles on the night (well, morning) were seriously hard!
Hope that helps!!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

They will be 13 and 15 next month........4 Days between their birthdays:rolleyes:
I am quite lucky with them though as neither of them are into sportsgear so no £60 trainer arguements. They just like jeans and TShirts with bands/funny stuff on them. The youngest is into anything with skulls on:cool:
Last pair of trainers they got were about £10:ABut these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0
