Interest on UK accounts for NONE Uk Residents

Hi

I am a British citizen and hold a British passport however I moved to live in southern Ireland 5 years ago

I still have UK banking (where my overseas earnings are paid into) at the Natwest and the Halifax both of whom have me registered as none resident and none tax payer.

The Halifax account used to pay a good interest rate on my current account but recently reduced this to minimal but offered me another 'improved interest' option which I took up but this only gives 6% on the first 2000 GBP and then its 0.1% hence not good.

Could you advise of anyone who I could move to and get a better rate of interest on my considerable savings amount ? I wish to remain with a British banking service if possible as I 'MAY' one day return to the UK shores

Any advice would be greatly appreciated
