Airport Duty free shops - perfume prices

Firstly I know they never were really actually "duty-free" as such, and now for EU travellers they are just a form of retailers "spiders web"....ie you're sorta caught there as a captive potential purchaser and sooner or later you will give in!
That being the case does anyone know if they are good value for perfumes and the sort of saving you might make on high street shops?

Why don't you check the prices of the perfumes you are interested in before you travel - that way you will know if you are getting a bargain or not?0

I have investigated this a couple of times for various perfumes, and the airport is very rarely the best price on perfume.
Try some of the online perfume stores (there is an article on this site), or look for special offers in places like Superdrug.0 -

Incapuppy, I have done this already, I just wanted to know which place would be best as I am taking the perfume as a gift directly to them from the airport!
Online stores not an option I want to take, I dont want to save a fortune, just not pay full high street prices!

I think if you're a tad more specific someone may be able to help, or do you want a complete list of all perfumes with comparative prices with other retailers?

AFAIK all the 'duty free' shops are sited after you go through security.0 -
i think it may depend on what perfume you want
i got a 50ml bottle of angel at liverpool airport this month for £38, angel is very rarely discounted and a 25ml bottle is normally £35-38 so for me the airport was definitley cheaperThe only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about - Oscar Wilde:beer:
