Thanks Ange.
Mortgage is just in H's name but the secured loan is joint, so we both have to do this.
We simply cannot manage nearly £1500 per month to cover the mortgage and SL. I'm not working at the moment (young children, can't afford childcare) so we are just not able to pay out that much. By going into rented, we halve that amount.0 -
Thanks Tigerfeet.
I've been on to that site before. Noted that I needed to put my waders on for the next visit!!0 -

Hi MrsST
Have you tried Nat debtline site its brill for fact sheets & info....link on top of page (sorry I`m rubbish at the link stuff!!) also CCCS need appointment & this can be weeks away whereas Nat Debtline can help with immediate advice.
I hope you are starting to feel a bit more in control...its strange but when you realise there are people here to talk things through its makes such a difference.

Also a link in my signature to them all

As I posted elsewhere all the agencies are extremely busy at the moment, I was trying to get through to NDL for ages today and couldn't get through so I am trying on Monday so patience is needed.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
It's amazing how much better is does feel to actually talk to people who are in/have been in the same boat or at least understand what this is all about. I won't say that I feel in control yet but it's making the burden feel a little less heavy. Obviously we aren't going public with our plans so I can't really talk to friends.
I'll try the National Debtline on Monday too.

Keep us up to date with how you go on sweetie. Build up as much knowledge as you can...it will really help you to understand all your options.

Thank you all for the advice so far. I really do appreciate it

Feel like my head is going to explode at the moment so I think I'll head off to bed, but at least I have a plan of action for now.
I'm so relieved to have found this forum!0 -

That feeling is normal, so if a comment from one who knows may help, try to stop understanding everything at once, you cant i tried:o
by a brief scan of your thread you realise what you need to do, so let it be at that, there is no rush, take your time to let it sink in.
Sorting it all out takes time, so let it;)
And sleep well that helps moreThats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….

Just wanted to say you are not alone, far from it! We are all going through it or have been through it. Just get as much info as poss, I totally understand about the head exploding (me about a month ago...), but after talking to the CCCS, I am sure you will feel better and keep posting on here. Good luck. xx"Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did, except backwards and in high heels"
