Im looking for a bird table..under £10 if possible before delievery. Does anyone know where?
Sealed Pot dec 08 - dec 09 so far £27.67, Live off £4k Spent £330.20 GC £1,200 for 2009 Spent £50.78 PaD so far £650.07

    Unlikely, I think. You'd be better trying local garden centres or looking for someone who makes them and sells them at the garden gate. Even then, I think you'll struggle for £10.

    No-one you know who's handy who can make one for you?

    No i dont know anyone unfortunatly.

    My mum got one from a shop called half price of less for£6 yesterday but i cant get to it as its miles away.

    Can your mum buy you one and keep it for you till you next see her?

    Are you a memember of your local freecycle group, if so you ask for wanted bird table / if not join the group and ask.

    Have you looked in your local paper at the small ads or local shop window, car boot.

    My mum lives abroad and is going back on wednesday. I have asked on freecycle and looked in free paper.

    Wilkinsons had some in a couple of months ago - I think they may have been about £15, but if there's one near you you wouldn't have to worry about delivery charges.

    I almost suggested that. Even this very simple design - whilst not beautiful - would be very easy to make. And, with the mesh base, what it lacks in aesthetic design is made up by its practicality.

    Just get a length of timber and nail an old frying pan to the top of it. Make a little sign to dangle from the handle, like 'Bird Cafe' or something:D

    I bought my mum a bird feeding station (gardman) for her birthday - I'd recommend one of these rather than a bird table - she hardly ever watches TV now, she just sits and watches the wildlife :D

    I got her the 'deluxe' version for about £25 but there are cheaper options available
