Anyone have Anglian sliding patio doors?

We've just had a reasonable quote for some Anglian sliding patio doors (£2570 for a 3-door 3.6m window). Unfortunately we haven't been able to see or try any Anglian patio doors - we want to be sure that they open very easily, as the main reason for replacing our current windows is that they're extremely heavy and difficult to open.
Does anyone have any of these, and if so could you provide any feedback on how easily they glide?
TIA

I had Anglian double glaze my complete house about 15 years ago including a front door and a patio door. Everything is still working perfectly and I can assure you that the patio door glides very easily and has a great locking system. I always lubricate the runners on the doors every year with WD40 to keep them running smoothly. Only had on e problem during that time which was a new lock, but that was my fault
It is worth paying the extra for Anglian and they are a well established company.

I know choosing replacement windows/doors is a nightmare at the best of times and I dont want to make your choice harder....but consider googling for Anglian reviews before signing.
Here's one of many....

I know there will be complaints about every company to one degree or another, but Anglian do seem to have more than their fair share.Herman - MP for all!0 -
Well, things must have changed for the worse, because they did a cracking job on my windows and doors!:j Mind you, the standards of workmanship were better 15 years ago!0

We have had Anglian UPVC windows, including a huge triple patio door with two sliding units, since 1987. We have not had a single problem in those 20 years. No sticking windows, no jammed doors, no failed sealed glazing units.
When we extended in 1993 we again used Anglian for another window and a large rear door and window combined unit. We have not had a single problem with these either.
However times change and so do companies so you really need to get references from more recent installations, especially local installations.
The fitters are as important as the quality of the window units.
DG is very competitive so get at least three quotes and bargain very hard0 -

considering my company could fit the same doors for £1570 in white upvc i would say your quote it way over the top i suggest you try a smaller local company
erm, I don't think you should be advertising on here!!0 -
Have a look at ours - £3500 for the 4panel AND 2panel & 2 bathroom windows!! If you do a forum search for patio doors, you'll see what others have paid. If you pay on credit card, they want 2% surcharge - not mentioned untill surveyors visit. We got the actual contract price reduced to cover this fee, as thought it unfair to introduce it, once a 'deal' had been done!!
www.theupsidedownhouse.9f.com is our place!
We've had them back several times to sort the leaks around the frame on the 4 panel one. The guy doing the rectification was really helpful & as thorough as he could be. The problem wasn't really the doors fault, just our unusual size, the fact it was into a new timber framed opening & up high.
He sorted it eventually!!
Din't like the poor response from the rather arrogant sales director, or whatever title he gave himself, in the Luton depot, when we were discussing the complaints. This man certainly needs retraining in the art of customer care!!
& we'll have the finished house pics in the next few weeks, fingers crossed!!

I always lubricate the runners on the doors every year with WD40 to keep them running smoothly.
do not use wd40 for lubrication this dries all moisture from the mechanism instead use a spray oil such as 3 in 1 or silicon sprayif you think peoples advice is helpfull please take the time to clicking the thank you button it gives great satisfaction0
