Hello all. I don't get time to post on MSE anymore. I'm that busy doing mystery shops, I don't even get time to myself. Hope everyone else is having as much success as me. I'm getting absolutely shed loads off RE and a lot off TNS too.
Just wanted to say a huge thanks to Southernginge who showed me the ropes with RE. And an even huger thanks for Timne for all his advice and tips on these MS threads. You both are stars :-)
Good luck to all the new shoppers, and DON'T get as bogged down as me.
Have a lovely weekend all.0 -

That's the one, might just nip down the town and visit one or even two and choose one and we will see what happens next, eh?0 -

Hi guys - I did my test for tern a couple of weeks ago and at the time Hollypear offered this advice to me:

Yippee the weekend break I won yesterday via the Comping forum has been confirmed and I'm off to Bournemouth in a month
BUT I now have to try and rearrange a job with TNS.......I haven't done anything for them yet either though do have an earlier one bookedIt would be the one company you can't rearrange online with wouldn't it?
Does anyone know what they're like about rearranging before I send my apologetic email off to the area manager?16 x Sanyo HIT 240w panels, 3.84kWp, south facing, 30 degree slope in the SW, 4.4 Eltek HE-t inverter installed 27/03/120 -

Also, does the report have to be hand written? On the form that they sent out? I could be a doctor, according to my handwriting, they would never be able to decipher it and I never learnt to print, only joined up writing, I'm afraid.0 -

I have had to rearrange before with TNS and they are ok about it once, but they don't want it to be a habbit. Just send an email or call your area manager.0 -
Thanks for that, in my haste to get to the shops did not see this until I got back, hence I also did not get a card from the shop, do I need to go back?

Yep - hand written - my hubby said it looked like our toddler wrote it!0 -
I recently registered with GFK and have yet to do my first shop with them because I only seem to be offered bank jobs, and I really dont want to use my real personal & financial details.
I was holding out for something requiring less personal info (I want to remain a 'mystery' shopper, lol) but GFK have sent about 3 (generic-ish) emails in recent days and I'm starting to wonder if I dont accept one of these bank jobs soon will I be de-registered.
Has this happened to anyone else? Be very interested to know what you did/what happened. Thanks.
Hi deedee,
i registered with gfk just last week and turned down a bank job a couple of days ago. they promptly mailed me and asked me why i had turned it down. I politely explained that i used to work for that bank and had accounts there(they had expressed it should be by a non-account holder). even with a high turnover of staff at the bank i couldn't guarantee i wouldn't know the staff member.
they mailed me back generic thing about using aliases..completely missing the point that after seventeen years with the same company they'd rumble me if i used a false name! struth i must know hundreds of staff in the local branches on first name terms...i dont think they even read my mail to be honest!
still i've taken a gamble now and registered for gap too, looking forward to them burgers!
and i registered for retail eyes too but they have nothing in my town at all at moment it would seem.Credit Card debt £10247.17 1/1/20200 -
Well I did my gapburger and it went surprisingly OK. Had to go and sit down and wait for my fries and burger for a few minutes so not sure what they'll say about that but apart from that it was clean, tidy and food was hot and OK. Nice change!
Going out to very nice restaurant tonight for my anniversary so will make nice change from eating burgers and pizza - not done chicken yet!!!0 -
Could you ask them Willow? maybe using a bit of flattery saying you want to keep up their high standards etc? at least you would know for sure.
Well I could, but as it took me a week of e-mailing just for them to just to accept the fact that I couldn't complete one assignment for them because the store wasn't open during the timeframe I had to do the assignment, I don't hold out much hope of getting a reply.
TBH I'm not really *that* fussed about it now! The more I think about it, the more I think the entire situation is laughable, especially if it *is* down to the fact that I had the sheer audacity to write the truth in the last report :rolleyes:0
