I did half the mystery dining thing then my toddler came along and trashed it so didn't actually apply - I don't think I'll bother then.

Sorry about TNS Deedee, maybe they're full in your area. RM have not been recruiting in mine for months, but at least they tell you before you apply, so I'm waiting.

As far as Nandos goes, I've mentioned recently that all I know is they are competitor shopped by one of the companied regularly mentioned on here...

Did any of you apply to The Mystery Dining Company that was mentioned last week? I did and got this reply today..... they dont want me!

"Many thanks for completing our online application form. Unfortunately, you have not been successful and we won't be able to offer you a place on our panel of diners.

    Thank you for your time."

Did you mention that you have mystery shopping experience or did you write a mystery shopping style report for the test?

If so, you were probably rejected because they don't want experienced mystery shoppers.

I got rejected so I applied again in my husband's name, wrote a report with poor grammar & as someone who clearly hadn't mystery shopped before & got accepted!

OK ... xxxxxxx. Did anyone do the "Go to the supermarket and purchase all available packs of a certain poroducts with a certain sell by date"? I've got 7 in my fridge, taking up space, I wish they'd let me know whether they want them returned or if I can ditch them!

I've got a fridge full too! It looks absolutely vile as well so definitely won't be eating it!

Tractor Girl - the company you mentioned are very strict on confidentiality so you might want to edit their name out of your post?

Sorry I meant "OP" and not "PO"
    :rotfl:

Bobthego, I actually thought you had written 'po' on purpose to reflect your confusion...(my husband always says I read too much into stuff....)

Been with them a few weeks but never had jobs in my area. I undersatnd some people on here have done new build visits though.

Chas - how bizarre re TNS. You could be right though, because they were the first ms I applied to so I doubt my application was very good......

I must admit I have been accepted...but I won't be using it except when I am looking for an evening out, not a money earner at all.

I was just wondering (as I need my hair cutting!) if anyone knew of any companies that do hairdressers? - that would be great!
    TIA

I found this article on RE's website:

    https://secure.retaileyes.co.uk/global/images/news/ftnov.pdf

They relate to mystery shopping for hairdressers, but I have unfortunately no idea what companies that have them!

(Have you tried being a model at a hairdressing school? Vidal Sassoon are great - almost as good as ms'ing!)

    Finally read through this board.

I got paid by gfk yesturday and the jobs i had done where on the site today.

I must be the only one to defend Gap but I have worked for them for 8 years now and have never really had a problem. When i do i phone australia where they are you will find the number in yellow pages australia.

I remember the old days of gapbuster where they would ring you with all the jobs and post the paper work of the ones you want. when you had done the shop you would ring a 0800 number and say all the yes/no questions to a person. it was great no receipts required. I even managed to do MD for 4 months in a row breakfast and that branch didn't even open for breakfast so getting paid to sleep.

think i have covered what i have read.

Must say something in defence for Gap too, they are really nice when they call me, and they even remember things such as why I could not do a shop the last time they called, such as exams, travel, etc and they asked how it went.

My husband doesn't like them though, cause whenever they call and he replies, they refuse to say who is calling!

I think I have worked out why one mystery shopping company pays out peanuts, their office is staffed by monkeys!

Seems like I wasn't the only one to get a phone call this evening!

I was offered £2.50 extra for a burger. I declined and he said, okay then I'll increase the fee but my ceiling is £3. :rotfl:
