The mystery shopping thread - part 4

Oh dear, Tractorgirl has not been paying attention, I've only just noticed this thread. Oops. Got a couple of questions to ask but I'll be a good girl and read the thread through in case they've already been answered.

Did any of you apply to The Mystery Dining Company that was mentioned last week? I did and got this reply today..... they dont want me!

"Many thanks for completing our online application form. Unfortunately, you have not been successful and we won't be able to offer you a place on our panel of diners.

Thank you for your time."

OK, I've had a glance through it now and I see my first question about Gap payments has been answered, thank you!

Also on the subject of Gap, I was ******* off to receive an email from them this morning advising me they have cancelled 3 of the stamp shops I had booked because they no longer need them doing. GRRR.

I've also had to cancel 4 other Gap jobs because they clash with end of term things at school and I can't make any of the possible re-scheduled dates either.

OK .... Did anyone do the "Go to the supermarket and purchase all available packs of a certain poroducts with a certain sell by date"? I've got 7 in my fridge, taking up space, I wish they'd let me know whether they want them returned or if I can ditch them!

Did an off licence job for RE the other week and it was closed. Not just closed for lunch, closed, shut up, boarded up, weeds growing outside the door and had "For Sale" signs on it. I emailed RE to explain, saying I trust I'll be paid the job fee as I visited the shop in good faith. I even took a photo as evidence. Had an email from them this morning. The off licences Head Office insist it is still trading, so they have re-scheduled the job for me for tomorrow!!!! It's near the kid's school so I'll visit again, take another photo, and claim another job fee!!!!

What are they like - luckily it's close to the school and you haven't got to travel too far. Which part of "not open" ae they not grasping. How much more evidence do they want. As you say mind as long as they pay you......

Hi TG - glad you found us!

I did four of these and got lucky because none of my stores stocked the product - so I didnt have to buy any! But in the notes did it not say you'd to keep hold of them for the shelf life? Pants for you though!

Finally read through this board.

I got paid by gfk yesturday and the jobs i had done where on the site today.

I must be the only one to defend Gap but I have worked for them for 8 years now and have never really had a problem. When i do i phone australia where they are you will find the number in yellow pages australia.

I remember the old days of gapbuster where they would ring you with all the jobs and post the paper work of the ones you want. when you had done the shop you would ring a 0800 number and say all the yes/no questions to a person. it was great no receipts required. I even managed to do MD for 4 months in a row breakfast and that branch didn't even open for breakfast so getting paid to sleep.

Phew I feel better now, MDC rejected me too with the same standard response. I guess eating out at Nandos doesnt constitute fine dining, lol. If anyone knows who does Nandos MS I'd be very happy to get a pm, thanks.

If it makes anyone feel better I also got rejected by TNS, I know I can reapply but it was SUCH a long application process I'm not sure I can face it again ... :undecided
