NO! Don't call them. They fire people if you call them. Send them a polite enquiry and ask them to call you. Always works a treat with me. Get a phone call an hour or two later.

Just registered with ASSOSIA, hope it's successful. Don't understand why people don't like RE. They tend to do higher scale visits, where the reimbursements are much much bigger than some of the other companies. I've done some restaurants with reimbursements of £35+, and one that was £50. My nephew and niece love me for taking them out so much. Plus they do a few gyms, and I am really into keep fit at the moment. I also find lots of sandwich shops in my area, and it's more or less free lunches for me almost all the time. Woohoo. They also have a chap that works for them who answers all my questions. He is super helpful. I just ask to be put through to him if I ever have any questions. *** Same applies to BARE. They have a chap who works for them that is really helpful, and answers all my queries. Any good shops lurking around in my area, and he lets me know. So it's all good. *** Not too keen on TNS and RETAIL MAXIM at the moment. Never seem to get any jobs from them.
  • I can't find a link to register with Assosia. Is it hidden somewhere on the website?

I'm back from my lovely trip to Bournemouth (a comp win :) and it was nice to have a break from MSing. Though I did get a call from RE on the way down to ask a couple of questions on my visit but they were fine.

Had to comment on the phone/iPhone discussion. I bought one the day the 1st generation ones came out back in November last year and loved it the minute I started it using. I upgraded to the 3G one at the weekend which kind of says it all really. They are brilliant and being able to connect to the web online anywhere is just fab :) The Maps/GPS function is super handy for directions too!

I kept with an 8GB one as I don't use anywhere near that on my original one. It also replaced my iPod and iShuffle too ;)

  • Is anyone on at this late hour? I can't get a damn RE pub report to finish. Question 84 won't let me click and put my cursor there to make a comment yet I need to comment or it won't let me submit:mad: It's 99% done - it might sound a daft question but if I've saved it does that mean I can leave it til tomorrow? I couldn't bear to fill it all in again...

The box has gone red though there's nothing in it?????

I was thinking about setting up a Picasa style album where people could upload pictures of stores in their area and use them when they need a photo of a particular store. We all have to take photos of these stores (particularly for one company), so it might be useful to have a 'gallery' of all the photos we've collated and use them - particularly if it's difficult to get a photo, or your camera mucks up.

Anyone interested in me doing this?

    I wouldn't do that.

If you use a stock picture, the store will have out of date POS material in the windows. Also it's quick and easy to check when the photo was taken from the picture properties, so the capture time and date won't tie in with your visit.

Good idea, but I wouldn't want to risk non-payment by not taking a photo on the day.
Here I go again on my own....

    Mine are:

    1. GFK (easy for good fee)
    2. Bare (I know some people find them long questionnaires; I must have been lucky)
    3. Optimum Contact (longer jobs, but MUCH better pay and support)
    4. Gap (cos you know you WANT that burger, but don't want to pay...)
    5. Retail Eyes (well, in Yorkshire there isn't THAT much choice)
