I've just done a computer shop job for GYP - got absolutely drenched - so fed up with this rain. Got a lovely begging phone call this morning as well asking me to do a mobile phone job tomorrow. Cause I said yes they gave me two petrol shop jobs and a small corner shop job. At least I get petrol and food reimbursed so I'm happy. Two of the shops are literally within a mile of where I live so not far to go and I needed petrol anyway. Happy days x
Was it drinks only??? I think there probably is a fee, but only about £5. They've done a right old cockle up on these.:mad::mad:Save me from spending...

They are so cheeky! first they use to release the petrol jobs for everyone to pick and then they started releasing only the ones in far away places and keep the rest as bonuses. Now they even keep away the corner shops (they offered me one as well) soon they might well keep everything and just release the burgers and phone ones! I have not been doing this for long but I have already witnessed some radical changes! is it the credit crunch? I use to pick up jobs in Dec with Gap with as much as 5 X preminum added on, wouldn't dream of that now.0

1. In first drop down box choose country
2. Ignore the 2nd drop box (leave it saying please select).
3. Do not type any letter in the third box just click the space bar (type a blank space)
4. Then hit the search button.
HTH:D
That means absolutely nowt to me!!
Are you talking about changing the stuff in my contact details? Because it won't let me do 4 if I have also done 2 and/or 3 :mad:Oct Challenges: Make £5 a day - £5.18/£155 Grocery Challenge - £0/£2000 -
instead of searching local area you change it to other then the drop down options come up and you search the way cookinmummy explained. does that make sense?0

If you use a device that has bluetooth (phone or otherwise) to access the net you would have to pay for this connection.
Now a laptop would be even handier because you can also use it comfortably to enter results. Once you choose which device then you can choose which connection, WiFi (free but limited) Bluetooth along with your phone network cheapest 5 pounds if you are on contract. There is also:Mobile broadband which is becoming a very good alternative to all of this so instead of paying several bills you will be paying just one. Don't rush it though the rates are getting cheaper and cheaper by the day and soon there will be unlimited download for very little.
Saying all this I thought seriously about a PDA one day (Dec) when I missed 11 jobs from grassroot. After that I managed to keep very busy without it. I haven't dismissed the thought though.
Hope this helps.0 -
My iPhone was free on a £45 per month tariff- best thing is, it comes with unlimited data! You can get it for less per month but below £45 you need to pay for it. The internets dead easy to use so I would recommend it. I haven't yet used it to write up a job whilst doing it although I nearly did earlier!0

Whilst we're on the subject of BlackBerrys (BlackBerries?) does anyone know how to enable cookies on it? I'm lucky enough to be provided with one from work :j but I can't view any Gap jobs on it, because I can't enable cookies. There isn't a Tools/Options function like there is on a normal PC or laptop.0

Can someone please give me the link for ABA-I? Is this the pants one where they do clothes shops that never actually appear on their website or have I just gone bonkers now? I'm sure people say they do petrol.0

I have another question about RE's strange assignment process:
I selected an assignment for a sandwich shop which I have to do tomorrow (Sunday). When I try to select a job date, there is just a message saying: "You must now contact *name* on *number* to enable you to proceed."
I called them on Friday during office hours, but just got a message saying that they could not take my call. I have emailed them as well, but no reply yet.
The only date available to do the job is tomorrow, so I do not realize why I have to call them in order to set the job date?!Luckily it has not been released from my account however.
Do you think that I should go ahead and do the job tomorrow anyway, and hope that it will work out if I call them again on Monday? I do have access to the questionnaire and the job notes. But, if I do not upload the report before midnight tomorrow they might release it from my account without paying me?! I just find this really weird!!0
