in Credit cards
i seem to be encountering this more and more.
my other half and i have the same card accounts but the cards have different numbers. if she buys something and i take it back for example then why carnt the money be put back onto my card. i end having to have vouchers which are only valid for a year and make you spend the money back at the same shop.
is it right that shops insist on crediting back to the same card. i do change them often so i might not even have that card anymore.
cheers

When you purchase something using your card, the shop is charged a 1-3% fee.
If they can refund to the original card, they can claim (some or all?) this back.
So, it's understandable that they want to get something back for their trouble...in the form of a future purchase using the voucher.

It means that poor little shops get stung when somebody buy's something uses it for the weekend then sends it back saying they want a refund.Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0
