Hey,
I parked in a Euro Car Park that has a policy of '1 hour free then charges apply thereafter', and stupidly parked in the far corner of a loading bay area as there was no spaces. On return i had received a parking charge notice(from a 3rd party security company). Now as i was in the wrong i was willing to pay the fee, but when i opened it and saw £117.50(or £88.13 if payed within 14 days) i was stunned as i thought it was a ridiculous amount. So i went on the Euro Car Park website and when i entered the ticket serial no. it said the fine was £15, and i could pay it online!!!
Can anyone give me any advice? Are the security company trying it on?

It's a private fine and you have no obligation to pay it - they'd have to take you to court, and they'll threaten this but they won't. See pepipoo.com and other posts on here0

Yeah, stop parking in loading bays. People like you are the bane of my life. The loading bay is there for goods vehicles to unload, not for some !!!!less waster to dump their car.
Not to worry. One day you'll come across someone like me who'll block you in and make you wait an hour or so until the vehicle is unloaded.0 -

Hmm and maybe on other days you might find your vehicle having its tyres let down/slashed etc.
Theres another nasty product you can get kinda like stinger, which will puncture the tyres but only let out air slowly. Might find these on your vehicle as well.Ex-Employee of a Train Operating Company.

Just ignore it.
It isn't a "fine", and cannot be enforced.0
