Littlewoods / Hotpoint

RAHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! :mad:
I WAS very happy with my order from Littlewoods - £50 off and a phonecall from Hotpoint saying they were going to deliver my tumble dryer the next day (today) when I'd expected it to take up to 10 days. However....they said any time from 7am til 7pm...I duly stayed in, cancelled any work I had for today and then at 6,25 got a phone call saying that the driver had unexpectedly had to go home because his wife was sick. Now, I don't blame the driver but I am rather narked that this apparently happened at 2pm and no-one phoned me until 6.25.
The bloke had the cheek to try and rearrange delivery saying that on monday, the driver would give me a call 30mins before he would arrive, so that I didn't have to stay exactly at home all day...So I gave him a (polite) earful about why on earth couldn't the driver have given me a call today to say he wasn't coming at 2pm! So..they are redelivering on Monday, the service centre manager has promised to text me by friday a time for Monday (I said it had to be a 2 hour slot - nothing more) and he even offered to get the driver to come in, unpack the tumbledryer and plug it in for me (wooo hooo! I'm jumping for joy....NOT).
I would have pressed for a discount...if I hadn't already combined a few different codes to get maximum money off from Littlewoods, got free delivery and it was direct from the manufacturer not Littlewoods anyway.
