I have got some plasticine in the carpet,and cannot remove it.As it doesnt dry out it is difficult,and have left a smudge that i cant seem to shift.I have tried to look for any sprays,ect that can help remove stains but they are all not suitable for carpets.
now for the money saving bit;
Was wondering if anyone has any ideas for this ,as it is if i was to claim on my accidental damage insurance then my access is £100,i havnt got this.
so there must be something/someone who can help.
if you know that it wont come out please say as well ,as i dont wanna be spending 20/30 pounds on products that can actually go towards the £100 access..
sorry if it sounds confusing.

diynot.com have a page on removing plasticene here. Somebody on ciao says her steam cleaner gets it out so if you have a friend or relative with one it might be worth giving it a go. On original source somebody suggests:
On the Burmatex carpet forum they suggest:if you get plasticine in the carpet - it will just keep rubbing in. to get it out use a small amount of wd40 on a cloth and gently deb on the area
Best of luck. Sounds like you aren't the first one to have this problem!Scrape off then use chewing gum freeze spray. Scrape again, then use solvent spot remover0 -
Where on earth do you buy chewing gum freeze spray?
also what is solvent spot remover?(Lol)
I know the wd40 so will try this first,the problem with shampooing the carpet,is that if i do a little bit i gonna have to do the rest and it is a very large room,and no- where to put the furniture whilst i do it.
I deliberatly didnt get play-dough as i thought as plasticine didnt dry out it would be better.I now no that BOTH are not suitable in my house!!.
Thankyou for your swift reply,will be heading to the shop tomorrow when it opens.0 -
Playdoh dries so far easier to get out of a carpet if an accident happens.
The gum freeze spray i've seen in Wilkinsons.0 -
Glo care multi-purpose Stain Slayer (Tesco I seem to remember) worked a treat on ground in Blutack for me (similar sort of stuff).0
