Just come across a place called Toolstation. Basically it's a screwfix that doesn't sell as much stuff but most of the things seem cheaper. Thought I would post a mention of it as I have found they have a few good prices on automotive related things.

Carb cleaner 400ml £1.97
Brake cleaner 400ml £1.72
Protection wax (I am guessing this is a cheap waxoyl from the description, which would set you back £6.99 in Halfords) 400ml £2.50
Electrical contact cleaner 400ml £2.10
White lithium grease spray 400ml £2.40
One of those suction things you use to hold glass and can use to try straighten dents in bodywork £2.00
They also have a set of 419 various sized o rings for £5.88 (I paid £14.99 in screwfx for exactly the same thing )

Was convinced enough these prices were worth a mention anyway. Only thing is there's not many stores around

Not too sure but wasn't Toolstation set up by the guys/gals who set up Screwfix after they had sold Screfix to someone like B&Q?

I have used them before ..... had good service.

Also free next day delivery all summer, no minimum order. I can't understand why they didn't put a temporary minimum order amount (used to be £45 below that would be £5 charge for next day delivery). So you can order something for £3.00 and only pay £3 and get it next day! Unbelieveable.

I'm going to order some stuff, but I'm going to order a few odds and sods to bring the value of my order up a bit so they don't feel I'm being rediculous.

I would ask anyone who orders to consider their range of goods and order a few things that you would like, as a sort of "thank you" for the free delivery. They won't do this again if lots of people order single low cost items.

It's very MSE, you're not biting off the hand that feeds you. Can you imagine the losses they are incurring on people who order a box of washers for £1 or £2? I'm not saying buy stuff you don't want or wont use, I said look through and see if there is anything you'd like to have. I'm not saying spend £40, I think you should try to get your order above £10 - £15. Look at consumables that you know you will always find useful.

I went to them primarily for a stone grinding wheel £3.20 I wouldn't feel very good about myself if I ordered just this, so I am going to also get:

    Reel of electrical solder 100g £2 (£6 in B&Q)
    A 10 pack of stanley blades £1 (£3 ish in B&Q) - might get a 100 pack for £5
    Wire crimped cup £3 - (about £8 - £10 in B&Q)
A wire wheel £4 ( a nice accessory to go with the stone wheel - my original wanted object)
Pack of split pins £2 (I recently removed the hub nut on my car and need a new pin)

So my order is now up to £13 - 17 and I know I will use everthing.
