Did the bank refund as it was a Bank Error?
No BT paid it! It has put me off DD's.

Why is there not a maintenance fee on the step account? What difference does it make what type of account it is?

I don't honestly know, maybe because it's a basic account?

  • Step account is a basic account and no overdraft is permitted on the account even though the account can go into excess. Student accounts are also exempt from the maintenance charge as well.
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009
