BA Lost Baggage - Is it worth Perservering

Hello,
Only a delay of just over 24 hours. Wrote a letter to BA explaining how I only had the shorts and t-shirt I travelled to Holland in (through T5) to attend a business meeting (embarassing).
They responded by asking me to send in receipts as they would like to contribute to the essentials that I bought when I was without my bag. As I arrived at Schipol airport after 6:30 - the shops had closed so I didn't buy anything. My enquiry was more along the lines of compensating me for looking unprofessional in my meeting and the inconvenience of it all. I thought they might offer some compensation as a goodwill gesture. Do you think it's worth even responding to their letter and if so what approach should I take?

If you are an Exec member you could get some miles from them but you're not really entitled to much else since you didn't spend anything.0
