i just passed my test car test im 37yrs old, as wondering how much roughly i will have to pay for a say a car up to and below 1.9 litr thinking of a vw polo
or similar, how much roughly to insure it yearly, the car will be used under £2000

Hi - there are a whole raft of variables here so it is impossible to even put a price bracket on it.Basically the smaller the engine the cheaper it becomes.The area of the country you live in is another major factor.

Hi,

My girlfriend has been on my insurance for a year and before that had a bike so had no no-claims discount.

The cheapest quote I found was with Diamond (£400 less), insurance aimed at women.

Maclean2 is absolutely right. It will vary hugely depending where you live, number of miles you expect to do in a year etc...

Just fill in the (long) quote form at confused.com and you will get a good idea of what you will be paying.
