It's been 5 months now and I've not had a peep put of Natwest. I had online paperless banking with them which they froze when I started the DMP and I haven't received any letters or statements for over 5 months so I have no idea if they've stopped interest or charges. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed.

It might be worth calling Natwest then at least you'll know

I called Natwest about a month ago and they gave me balances and said the account was set for review or something but was still with them at the time.

I just wish they'd send me statements as I had a couple of payments go into the account in error and I want to check they made it there and came off my balance. I had cashback from switching electric supplier (£35) and a refund off The Student Loan Company (£80). If they haven't come off the balance, I'll go up the wall.

I think you should have shut the account and got any payments due moved to a new account
for your own peace of mind call them,
they don't seem interested in letting you know whats going on

I can't shut the account as I have an overdraft with them which I'm paying off on the DMP (Hence the reason for the thread) I also did try to get these 2 payments moved to my new account before they were made but they made them to the old account anyway. I wasn't ammused but there wasn't much that could be done, not bothered as long as they have come off my debt.

Well, I cannot believe it but I finally had a letter of Natwest yesterday saying they are pleased to have come to a temporary arrangement for the next 6 months. Result! For the time being anyway.

I'm so p'd off. Looks like Natwest have been charging interest all along. They don't send me paper statements and have stopped my access to online banking so I popped into a brach out of curiosity to see what my balance was and it was more than when I started.

I wrote to them to ask for a list of charges etc and they sent me and i+E form to fill out. Cheeky monkeys! Nothing to do with what I asked them but they have just bunched me in with everyone claiming their charges back.

Gonna dig out the letter they sent me accepting my plan tonight and write them a nasty letter whilst I'm at work tomorrow. I wish things would go to plan sometimes.
