Will Natwest accept my DMP payments?

Hi,
I have recently started a DMP with CCCS. I have a £2000 overdraft and approx £3000 loan with Natwest. I haven't paid anything into them for about 2 months but haven't heard anything off them. Does anyone have any idea how Natwest respond to DMP's?
Thanks

Can't CCCS advise - they must have dealt with them before. I have a feeling that as long as most of your creditors accept the DMP, then the remaining ones have little choice. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)
really....it's not hard to understand :T0 -
No, creditors don't have to accept DMP's just because others have. They can default you and pass it on the DCA's.
I was just wondering if anyone had any dealings with them.DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0 -
If my memory is correct Natwest will try to get you to take a "managed loan" to cover your debt(s) to them - payback over a longer period and a non-competitive interest rate - best avoided and I'm sure CCCS will advise the same.
If you use the "search" button above and type in Natwest I'm sure you will pick up as much info' as you want.
Good luck for the future.0 -
I'm on a DMP with payplan and had a Natwest Credit card.
Natwest didnt respond at all to me or payplan but aorund 4 months after I started paying them thorugh payplan they froze the interest. So I presume that they are happy with the DMP who knows.
In Jan 2007 I had a debt of £27,896.00 :eek:In October 2011 I paid it off and owned £0.00 - Kinda proud of this!:T0 -
Thanks, how much debt do you have on your credit card if you don't mind me asking. It's just so I have an idea if they'll freeze my interest. Also, how long have you been on the pay plan with them?
Thanks

Right now I only have around £700 left on that card
at the start I had about £2k. I have been with payplan since Jan 2007
I hope that helpsIn Jan 2007 I had a debt of £27,896.00 :eek:In October 2011 I paid it off and owned £0.00 - Kinda proud of this!:T0 -
That is a bit reassuring as I have heard stories that they accept you at 1st but then default you, but you've been on the plan for a while so fingures crossed.

I really dont think they fully 'have it together' they have so many different rules and departments, I really dont think they even noticed my dmp.
They might not freeze your interest but as long as you keep paying I think you will be fine.In Jan 2007 I had a debt of £27,896.00 :eek:In October 2011 I paid it off and owned £0.00 - Kinda proud of this!:T0 -
Well, It's been almost 2 months since I 1st asked the question and I still haven't heard anything at all from Natwest. Not a sausage, no letters, no statements, no phone calls, nothing. I don't even know if they've stopped charging interest or overlimit charges etc. I hope so otherwise God knows how much I owe them now.DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0

Well, as I still haven't heard anything, I've written to them. I would like to know what my current balance stands at and if they've accepted my reduced payments without adding interest and charges. Fingers Crossed eh?
