Good grief, I am wishing the weekend away, I was looking for a sunday thread doh!

    Today I have:
    • Breakfast from stores
    • Checked out some websites for London trip
    • Added some brit trip points that Sophiesmum gave me - thank you!
    And I will:
    • [strike]Try and find out if there is anywhere you can leave luggage in London, got to be out at 11am on the last day, and not lugging a small case round til we leave at 8ish.[/strike]
    • [strike]Do PB CT and comps[/strike]
    • [strike]Take kids swimming using free swim vouchers[/strike] pool full, very upset kids :( so we will go tomorrow.
    • Go to Sainsbury to buy more Kelloggs with free swim vouchers on, as they are on offer there (works out cheaper to buy a box of cereal with voucher than to pay to swim!!)
    • [strike]Check banking[/strike]
    • [strike]Check mystery shops[/strike]
    • [strike]Lunch and dinner from stores[/strike]
    • [strike]Check planet hollywood website to see if they have opened bookings on the 25th and 26th aug[/strike] Booked - OH isnt sure he wants to go now
    • Order deal tokens from Tesco for above
    • [strike]Buy bread and milk from Aldi[/strike] Missed it, will do tomorrow.
    • Try to ignore the bargain Airsprung matresses that they have in Asda! The kids are desperate for new ones, and they are only £60 each, but arrgggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh *and breathe* Still ignoring
Well, think thats it, mammoth housework blitz in double quick time - kids currently slaving over their own rooms :D:T

Ooooooh men!!!! OH has decided we cannot take a case, we need to take a large backpack, and he would rather carry it around all day that spend money leaving it  Last time we went it was just the 2 of us, and he moaned about carrying our stuff, this time we will have 3 kids in tow

    Breeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeathe

Apparently you can leave luggage at most major stations for around £5.50 for 24 hours: http://www.excess-baggage.com/station_contacts.php#paddington I think £5.50 is quite reasonable :p (at OH).

  • i checked my egg statements on line and discovered that i had been charged more interest in june than in may even though the balance was lower in june.

i phoned egg yesterday to query it and was told that the increase was because of the number of days in the month so i said so it £1.10 per day then the agent said yes (the fool) at that point i had to hang up cos my children where crying and i needed to deal with them

i am currently on the phone to them to find out why if as the agent said it was £1.10 per day why was i getting charged £75 per month rather than £35. (i should be paying £2.44 per day) so the amounts i am being charged are correct but as i keep saying to them if i was in a shop and a bottle of perfume was priced at £5.99 but was really £59.99 the shop would have no choice but to sell me the perfume at £5.99 and as cc are covered by the consumer act then they should follow this too. they agree that they are covered by the consumer act too.

So i' am just off the phone and it has had to go to their complex team to see if we can resolve this matter but (what a surprise) the complex team aren't in till tuesday.

will keep you up dated on this so go check your statements see if you can get them to say the amount per day is less than what it should be and give them a ring its funny to see them skirm:rotfl:

    lets see what happens

    i will keep you informed

It all helps tho!!!! Good for you!!!

Today I'm not going anywhere so I won't be spending any money! Good job too!!! I am going to make some fairy cakes for tomorrow as the Vicar and his girlfriend are coming round to drop off some baby stuff from my Gran- long story- so i'll be tidying the house ALL day I expect!
    - I've checked online banking for myself and dh and all is as expected- I need to keep an extra eye on his account tho as he has his cash card for now in case he needs to get a train home due to a baby emergency! If he touches the money in there for any other reason I will actually kill him!!! WITH MY BARE HANDS....There was a reason he gave the card to me!!!

    - Try to cut down on electricity use so our money lasts us till the end of the month!

-Let my phone charge run out completely before charging it so the battery lasts longer..sort of moneysaving!

    - will hae beans on toast for dinner as bread needs using up and there's just me tonight! DH will eat at work!!!

-Will check onepoll for surveys and quidco for any easy money trials etc.

    That's it for me!
