Self employment if you're not employed by them. Have you told HMRC about the income as it'll be taxable.0

Yes I did tell HMRC about my extra hour last July when I started doing it, but nobody at the time told me that I would have to put it as self employed. I dont earn enough to be taxed on so what will happen now ??

You dont put it on the form, you are told to inform TCO if your statement of circumstances is incorrect. Call them up to tell them. You can give them your income details for last year also. You will need to work out how much you have been paid for that extra hours in the 07/08 tax year. You do not work for an employer so it is obviously self employment.
You need to contact your local tax office for proper advice because if you are working self employed you may need to pay tax and NI. If you let them know I think they can adjust your tax code to take in to consideration your self employed earnings.0 -
Thanks I have had a quick look online and I think I can do it online, what will happen as I started this extra hour almost 11 months ago now.......

You CANNOT complete it online - by POST or TELEPHONE only. The online portal has been closed for a long time due to potential fraud.0
