angel policy
:money: hi ,
i am desperate can you help.
my husbands car was rear bumped by a company car.they admitted liability and paid for the repair.however the hire car we were offired was not our insurance one.it was from a hire company ,a flash new BMW we took it and signed the paperwork.found it was too flash to drive to work and asked for an ordinary car which we used for a few days and returned as we were going on holiday.the hire company asked for4000pounds charges and the liable party refused to pay.the hire company said we must cooperate and do as they asked or we would have to pay.we cooperated and now it has gone to court.we dont know how its going to end.there are a few other things as well.
-it was a rear bumper so should not have taken14 days but it did and our car was in the garage for 14 days.
-we should not have had such a flash replacement car as ours was an R BMW
-we signed the paper work in good faith not knowing we were not entitled to it
-the hire company is claiming for 14 days but we had the car for 12
-the lawyers fighting are the hire company ones but they say they are fightibg on our behalf
-would we loose the case
-if so will we have to pay
-any idea how much
-is there anything we can do
would we be covered by the angel policy
