Banks and Benefits
Mississippi
Can anyone clarify any further, the question as to whether banks can access means tested benefits in order to pay bank charges, or use for loan repayments. I have been trying to find out a definitive answer but there does not seem to be one, banks appear to do as they please and surely it is obvious to staff when money is paid into an account as benefit, that this is money that person needs to live on. Or am I assuming too much

MOVING THREADS FOR BETTER RESPONSES
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies.
