I used W300012 this week (12 april 2011) in Dublin airport... got 25% discount on 2 days rental..no questions asked buy Avis staff...so this code still works...enjoy it..I did... Thanks to MSE forum...0

Used the W300012 code this week to book car hire in Spain, 25% discount! Thanks a lot people. The guy on the phone audibly blanched when he checked the discount code out.
Top Tip - if you've time, register for Avis Preferred too, they send you a free upgrade voucher to get one category of car up from what you paid for0 -
Update - W300012 now only gives about 3% discount; !!!!-poor.
So far after much rummaging around the best I can find for Europe is K817167, which is 10% discount. Will keep looking and post here if anyone's interested.
A108396 gives $40 off a week if you go through the .com site (marginally better than the 10% for a smaller car)0 -

I have used A* code and booked car on avis.com , can someone tell me when I need to do payment? will they accept payment in UK? or abroad( in my case Zurich)? Also no mention of excess , is it good idea to take excess policy?
