I think that's what I'm going to do, and Lidl have a promotion starting Monday for beech-effect chests at £16.99, so I think two of those will have to do, although the Ikea ones are nicer.

Thanks all - reckon my mate's chest was a one-off! No-one seems to make them.

I saw four bedside type, two drawer chests in Ikea the other day and they were joined together at the back where it couldn't be seen but held them together
