Combi Boiler and TRV's

The reason for having a room thermostat is that it is meant to stop the boiler cycling on/off as it keeps the water in the system hot when heating is not required thus wasting energy. Ideally you should not have a TRV in the same room as the thermostat. This is fine if you always want to heat the room that has the room thermostat of course. We don't have any rooms (we have no hallway) that we always want to heat so we don't have a room thermostat. I use common sense and turn the boiler off when heating is not required. I think current building regulations demand a room thermostat for new installations however. So next time I change the boiler I will have to put one in. I don't know where I shall put it.0
