Anyone got any ideas how to restore a white plastic sink? It seems to be pitted with rust type spots?? Sorry if this sounds stupid but have just moved home and this is what we are faced with!

Have you tried Astonish - it's supposed to be very good.YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)

Try sprinkling biological washing powder in the sink and then filling it up with boiling water and leaving it overnight."This site is addictive!"
Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA

Hydrochloric acid (or oxalic acid) will remove rust stains, but if it is pitted you will have to live with the pitting. This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0

Might be easier to find Oxalic acid crystals at a chemist. Not Boots etc, an independent. Mix crystals with water and apply to rust stains, wash away with water when stain gone. Second application if stubborn ( the stain not you)Usual precautions when using acid of course. This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0
