HP Laserjet 2100M Tray 3 Problems

Hello, I have a Laserjet 2100M bought from ebay which works great. I recently purchased the additional tray so that I could have a alternative paper option.
I have installed the new tray and set the computer to recognise it and it now happily prints using this tray.
The only problem is the printer always prints an additional sheet of paper with the following printed on it.
PCL XL error
Warning: IllegalMediaSource
Can anybody tell me what to do to stop this?
