Just trying to work out the whole yearly cost of how much this trip would be annually0 -
Hi Riche,
My neighbour does a similar journey and she uses the Coach by Marshalls, which apprently drops her near JL.
A daily ticket is about £28 with travelcard, or £3300 per year.
It's cheaper to buy a yearly ticket, than singles.
As a completely different alternative, I use a motorbike and ride into London, once you add on parking & a drink for the journey by train it saves about 2k0 -

Don't forget that the ticket will be valid at all the London Thameslink stations. On the return journey you might be better going via Blackfriars, as you will probably get a seat, but you won't by the time the train reaches Kings Cross / St Pancras.
Incorrect.
You need a London Thameslink ticket to be valid at blackfriars. They maybe the same price according to the website I use at work (frpp.tso.co.uk) but if it does not say London Thameslink on it, then the barriers wont work at blackfriars.

Fair enough. My experience is that none of the stations on the Thameslink line would think of selling anything other than a Thameslink ticket when they were asked for a 'London' ticket, given that it is the same price.
Yeah we always sell a London Terminals unless asked otherwise.Ex-Employee of a Train Operating Company.
