Can you just connect a Freesat HD receiver to an existing Sky 4 head LMB? I have Sky+ which takes up 2.

I dont think I will upgrade to HD until more channels are aired as their is only a limited number avaliable and some of them channels transmit standard def footage on them along side the HD content. Currently have SKY+ which I am more than happy with for the time being and dont see myself getting a HD box for at least 12 months

I did a survey through Toluna yesterday and it appeared to be about Sky. The questions were related to the Movie package, and they were asking me questions about Sky Box Office and Movies.

Looks like they are thinking along the lines of either Movie subscribers paying £2.99 a month to access all Box Office films, or allowing Movie subscribers to watch one chosen Box Office movie per week, and airing one movie a month on the same day the DVD is released in the shops.

I'm just about to cancel my movie subscription (and wait for their next offer), but will have to keep an eye on the developments.

Already paying £45+ a month to Sky, customer for 10 or more years can't remember how long really ! Would be nice if they offered this free, the box at least. Still have a 10 year old sky box here ! lol and if you want a new one you have to pay oh dear.

sky do nothing what so ever to reward customer loyalty !
I have rung and tried to get a better deal with them after being a loyal customer since it started back in analoge days and NOTHING.
I would get rid of the lot tomorrow if I did not have 2 lads at home who are sport mad.
Sky are blood sucking leaches, and satanta are increasing their monthly charges as well.disgusting in this economic climate.

yep 300 quid was far too expensive but from 1st July new customers get £15 credit back meaning you can get a sky hd box installed total for £205

Which is entirely sensible of Sky.

I know this will sound harsh, but the aim of the company is to make as much money as possible for the shareholders. When they have a customer like you that they know will never cancel, they would be mad to offer you a discount.

If you want a discount you need to appear to them as if you are not bothered about their service and are planning on cancelling, and then they might do something to try to persuade you to stay.
