The side bits are just beds Maz - if you look at the middle one of the photos I posted on post 823, if you look just to the left of the hob/grill, you can just about see there's a bed there, raised up about 2 feet from the floor of the main part of the camper. That's the bit that goes out over the 'stilts'. They're high enough to sit up in, but not stand up (well, Natasha can!).

    Hello all!

Snaggles, just wanted to say about the trailer tent. Make sure you have a practice run on putting it up before you go. There would be nothing worse than getting to the campsite in the dark/rain and suddenly finding that you can't work it out or that there is a piece missing or something.

However, a friend of mine recently bought a trailer tent, complete with awning, and it is fab! I reckon you will love it, as it is like tent camping but way more luxurious and with the ability to stand up! We call our friends "trailer tent trash" now though! :D

They's have to be really strong stilts for me and DH. Either that or we would need to sleep one of us at each end, to balance things out :rotfl:

Thanks Milly - the fab thing about the folding campers is that I can actually put it up completely on my own in about 15-20 minutes - it's just so easy! The awning takes longer (probably an hour, but we will get quicker!), but if it's raining, we would just stick the camper up, get inside and dry off, and put the awning up the next day or something. I am loving being 'trailer tent trash'!! :rotfl:

Spud - they are really, REALLY strong (we tested them *cough*).

Glad you have had a practice run!

I will agree that the stilts are pretty strong as well. We stopped in our friend's trailer tent, and they coped fine with my drunk OH stumbling into the bed section!

"Latino" is now an unapproved euphemism. The new improved one is "greasy"...
