Hi Gabyjane, have you read the product reviews on QVC, that might help you choose?"If you see someone without a smile, give them yours.":DMiss Mona, The Best Little *****house in Texas0

Hi yes read the reviews and watched the videos..it's either the normal one or the green one or the 2 in one and cant decide! dont think my skin needs evening out so rule out the green..the 2 in one looked quite sheeny on the video and dont want shiny skin so poss not that so the normal one..ahh dont want to spend £19 on the wrong one!!0

Does a primer help with shininess? I don't like using powder all that much in the summer on top of make-up and this could answer my prayers...0

Peronsally I would stick with the clear one everytime. I've not used the others so I can't base it on personal experience of those products but from a make up artists point of view you would never apply a green base all over the face, you would only apply it to the areas which need it most so that rules that one out. As for the 2 in 1 version I just think it's a bit gimmicky really, they're just trying to talk you into handing more of your money over. I don't trust the tube to dispense the right amounts of product right to the bottom of the tube and again you wouldn't normally use an illuminator all over the face as you only want to highlight certain areas and features. Also if oily skin is a problem you generally want to avoid illuminators anyway as they can make you look more shiny.
ninnoodle, it depends on what you mean by shininess. If it's just smooth shiny skin then yes the photofinish primer will help (although it's probably cheaper to buy the bodyshop anti shine Matt It Face and Lips and just apply to the areas needed). If your shininess is caused by excess oil then the primer will help to a degree in some cases but it won't stop the problem altogether. Instead of using powder to absorb the oil go to tescos and get some of their facial blotting papers or for a very MSE option use blue rizla papers!!!0 -
Thankyou angel81uk i think i will go for the origional one then..can you send me a link to the right one just so i dont buy the wrong one!! Many thanks0

It doesn't seem to be on the QVC website at the moment so I'm guessing they're out of stock but it's this one http://reviews.qvcuk.com/1690/222057/reviews.htm
Its is still available as part of a kit though. This one is great value http://www.qvcuk.com/ukqic/qvcapp.aspx/app.detail/walk.yah.UKHB~UK87 you get the same amount of primer as you would in a full size bottle (but none of the pump problems which people have had) but for an extra £15 you get a whole load of other make up too.
Or there is the starter set that I linked to previously if you don't want to spend quite so much to start with.0 -
Thanks for that, the second link doesn't work..how much was the kit? thanks again0
