Sorry to hear that Red. :grouphug:
On the bright side though you weren't exactly jumping for joy at the prospect of getting the job beyond that it would get you out of your current position. perhaps all the good Karma you've earned is gathering itself to get you the right job ...
That's very true Luc, I'm not totally convinced it was the right job, although it would have been nice to be wanted and at least have the option. I do wonder if I'm putting too much emphasis on trying to find an interesting job, maybe if I did more outside work then it wouldn't be quite so bad having 8 hours of boredom a day....Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Sorry to hear that, squizz..MAybe they are a shabby half arsed company anyway ..if they have computers on the blink, who knows where else they would cut corners.
You are too good for them anyway. Why not becoma a consultant with IA, now that would be an interesting outside of hours job. Or we could do what our profiles have suggested..you know testing unusual videos??Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

:rotfl: Yep that's always an idea. They did come across as a bit disorganised to be honest - but then I'm used to that where I am now! Could probably have put up with it for the career progression and the extra £6k a year :rolleyes:Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
redsquirrel - it just means your ideal job is still out there.
Lucy's post made me think today, I'm definitely going a bit too far the other way so I think I need to take some time out from DFW-ing before I deliberately upset the boat.No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -

I'm not leaving IA, just stopping on the debt-busting side of things for now.
I tend to cause arguments with creditors, or overpay too much and leave us stuck. No longer using this account for new posts from 20130
