    Good luck with OH MrsDawn.
Lucy... that's terrible!!!! Call back and demand an appointment! IF they ask just say, ''With all due respect I'd rather discuss it with the Dr.''
Can't believe they'd be so nosey!

Payday for us today so need to pay nursery fees... £252  Other than that looking forward to a nice chilled day. :)

Morning all. It's my day off today and I am trying to cancel my PPI (over £11,000) on my secured loan and I'm feeling a bit out of my depth. Think I might ring the CAB for some advice before I jump straight in as I don't want to get it all wrong.

Mrs Dawn -sorry to hear you are still struggling and good luck for tonight; be strong

Lucy - that is what receptionists do. It is part of their job description and I'm sure that one of the criteria you need to apply is that you are nosey, bossy old cow. I know I'm generalising but it does seem that most receptionists, be it in school, dental practices or doctors, seem to think that their bosses NEED their protection. As IA said, call back and just say it is a personal matter - leave it at that.

Everyone else - look forward to catching up with you later.
YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)

really....it's not hard to understand :T

    Morning all!!!

Happy Birthday Mrs Dawn. Try to enjoy your day without thinking (too much) about OH.

Bean has decided to let me drink hot chocolate without doing anything weird to it. :j Wondering if it might be because its made with skim milk rather than semi skim:confused: ???

Anyway, going to be quite busy today as need to clear my desk before holidays but I'm sure I'll find time to drop in for a wee blether.

Need to pick up a few bits at lunch time (always buy new undies for hols :rotfl: )

    morning all!

Lucy - call back and as IA says, just be polite but firm and say "i don't really wish to discuss that with you, with all due respect. Please just provide me with the next reasonable appointment." Unless you're asking for an emergency appointment, in which case i can see why she's asking, as she needs to ensure these only go to worthy cases.

I don't doubt that she is being partially nosy, and is a bossy frigid old bag, but to a certain extent she is only really doing her job. Allbeit not very well!

Re her hanging up on you, probably worth broaching that once you have your appointment, that is just not on!

Happy birthday Mrs D!! Please don't let your worries spoil your day, and hope you sort things out tonight.

Hey Chip, what are you doing on the daily chat?!! Lovely to see you! Stay awhile! Or are you just giving your mate Luc some moral support.Sweetheart that you are!!

Morning all... Happy Birthday Mrs Dawn, and :grouphug: Lucy - as for the receptionist - wot they all said above!

Had a real struggle to get out of bed this morning, felt really like hiding under the duvet the last few days. Waiting for phone call about yesterday's interview - wish they'd get on with it!!

    Morning All....
Lucy I know just what you mean about GP receptionist's.. There was a time that if I rang mine to ask for an appointment to see the doc for test results she would read them to me over the phone well that was until I asked her when she had qualified as a GP!!
Right I am off to order some more paper as apparently the paper we have in the office is rubbish and because of this the printer doesn't print in landscape... not sure how another type paper will make this work but I shall humor them it's either that or I will have to spit in there tea and then kill them slowly..... Can you tell I have had enough all ready and it still only 10 o'clock.............
I hope everyone has a great day
