I have 8meg broadband with orange and i am paying £19.99 a month for it and i saw a advert for 02 broadband for 7.50 a month for the same speed so i called orange up and said i was thinking of leaving and going to 02 because it is much cheaper so they said they would give me a deal if i stayed so i was expecting to get about a fiver of. The lady came back on and said i could have 6 months broadband free and get it for £9.99 instead of £19.99 after the 6 months free.
This worked for me with orange but i guess you could do it with any broadband company just tell them you have a 02 mobile and they have offered you it for much cheaper and you want to leave. They will give you a better deal to keep your custom.
Call them this is the number i used 0844 873 8586 there is an option for leaving orange.
Best of luck hope this saves some people money.

Interestingly enough I am on Orange Broadband(no mobile phone) and got a similar offer when I rang up about something else. They offered me 6 mths free and another 6 mths at £12.99 which is what I was paying before. Only 12 month contract not 18 mths like they make new customers take out. They have also increased all the download limits uptoi 10GB I think.0

Is anyone else with Wanadoo? We were with them and then, about a year or so ago, they were taken over by Orange. We pay £17.99 for our Broadband with them (and I know there are better deals) but my OH is reluctant to change provider 'cos doesn't want the hassle of changing email addy.
I know it's a case of ringing Orange and probably seeing what we can get, but just wondered if anyone else had tried even tho' you were an original Wanadoo customer.
Thanks OP for post.0 -
