Hi all,
just got this in my inbox, quite a nice present:
£10 back if you spend £50.
Dear Mr (Surfcat)
As an Egg Card customer you are occasionally entitled to special existing customer rewards. This e-mail is to tell you that if you spend £50 or more on your Egg Card between now and 31 October 2005, we'll credit your account with £10. And we'll put the money in your account by 31 December 2005*.
!!!!
So I'm going to stick £50 on my orange payg (=£55 calls) and do so at Tesco (=triple points), and it will only cost me £40!!!

Looks good, but a couple of things to check. Are you in your Egg Anniversary month or have you recently transferred a 0% balance from another card ? They are inducing you to spend so you should ask yourself why. If you have not used the card for a while, then that is probably the reason and you are OK. OTOH if you have BTed or you are in your anniversary month, inducing you to spend will earn them interest !

I got this the month before my anniversary month also, but I made sure I paid it off before I balance transferred. However, I've not had the £10 back yet, so fingers crossed I get it before the end of the year as well; Egg are usually pretty good at these things and don't need chasing...0

Mr k got the same message last month. As he was about to renew car insurance, it was useful timing, especially with an extra present from GreasyPalm!!0
