PLeeeeeeez some one help. We have adobe photoshop starter edition on the pc.
I was checking back through my e-mails for a photo someone had sent me, and when I clicked to open it, the first one was my photo, and then followed about 12 extremely hard !!!!!! photos. In horror, I thought my in-laws had inadvertently sent through something nasty, but now when I open any e-mail with a jpeg attahment, the first one is correct and then follows a stream of nasty pics. Each e-mail has a different set of pics. These extra pics weren't there last week, but now if I open an e-mail eg from december, they're attached
Firstly, how did they get there? I have checked back through internet history etc, and no-one seems to have visited any site they shouldn't have
Secondly how do I get rid of them? When I load adobe photoshop, I can't find a folder with anything but our own photos on there.
Thirdly, I'm worried that if I send a e-mail with jpeg attached, then I'll send a load of !!!!!! with it
Help please.

You've obviously got some malware, if they appear in every message.
Scan with Spybot S+D, Adaware and a few others mentioned in the FAQs as it seems not to be a virus...0 -
Also download Hijackthis and run a scan, there are helpful people on here who can decipher the log and tell you what you need to do.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Spybot may be worth installing as well. Does AVG have an email scanner? Some antiviruses do such as Avast (which is free and very good).0
-
Another spyware scanner which is often recommended and may be worth trying if you haven't already:

Sounds like I should take a look at them, just for educational purposes you understand!!0
