I'm reading through some web hosting threads to find the best one for me.
I have a question regarding the pop3 accounts they all offer.
Does this allow me to have different e-mail address's ie simon@domain.co.uk, sales@domain.co.uk, info@domain.co.uk
but setup each one to be read by different people, so I will only recieve simon@domain.co.uk. someone else will be able to read info@domain.co.uk etc etc
I dont want to have to have one cacheall acount where everything goes, it needs to be split up for different people to sort.
Hope this makes sense
thanks

Look at the details on the hosting plan. Find the number of POP3 inboxes it allows. That is the number of totally separate email addresses you are allowed. You can probably create forwarders to send email sent to one address to another, helpful if only one person needs to read the email from both.
Hope that helped.Ubuntu is an ancient African word, meaning: 'I can't configure Debian'.0 -
Thanks

My hosting is the basic hosting with 1and1.co.uk (the Home package) and it gives me POP3/IMAP 400 mailboxes.
Check yours as it will probably be a lot.0 -
I too use 1&1 and have various mailboxes, with different family members having an account of their own and also have accounts for various parts of a 'business'.It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0
