    Hiya mate

I'm sorry to hear your story, but I think it's great that you want to help others who have had a tough time.

the big obvious one is Cancer Research UK. Some people like them, some disagree with some of the things they do.

I believe that macmillan offer some services and support in your area.

There are many others, I'm sure, but these two might be a starting point?

    Sorry about your loss.

How about the Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust? As well as raising money, you can raise awareness and help put more donors on the register?

Would your regimental chaplain be able to help you contact hospices etc? Most would be registered charities. Hospitals often have a 'League of Friends' who would welcome funds!

I'm so very sorry to hear of your loss and think it is wonderful that you are wanting to do something positive after all this.

If you are not keen on the Cancer Research aspect - as a lot of people don't agree with the experiments on animals, there's always Cancer Relief, who help patients and their relatives coping with cancer.

Good luck with your endeavours!

Your local hospital is New Cross. It is a very friendly place and the oncology department is excellent.
