Is My Dyson Due For A Hoilday ?

Went to use my Dyson vacumn cleaner today, worked for 2 minutes then stopped !!!!
Waited for 10 minutes and tried it again, worked for 2 minutes and stopped again.
Has anyone else had this problem, i've cleaned the filters and put them back in, it's not a fuse in the plug......may he's just tied and needs to rest inbetween rooms ????

Which model is it ? Dysons have an overheat cutout for the motor so if one of the filters is clogged (and some of them cannot be cleaned) it will behave like that.0

My mil's vac is just like that, wants a tea-break after each room! Hers isn't a dyson though. I would say it's overheating.0

Have you checked the fan belt? my dyson just would not pick up at all, really hard work to push over any carpet - when we checked the fan belt had broken, sooo got on to the dyson web site and there are lots of spare parts there to order. New set of fan belts arrived in two days. Sorted!!0
