sick to the back teeth with tc

Just wondered if anyone else has had this problem with the tc helpline.

I am sick of renewing my claim every year (once i have my p60, to give the correct info) and then being sent my new claim and being in debt once again.

I am now in debt for £2771. Every year this rises.
I phoned the helpline explaining that I always give the correct info every year and my wages only increase by a small amount ( less than £100) .
I have asked to no longer receive tc untill this debt has been repaid, and was told that someone would contact me. I have now waited 3 weeks and noone has attempted to make contact.
Do you think I should put in a complaint about this, as I am fed up with phoning them and being left on hold.
I am trying to repay a debt but they don't seem bothered.

i believe you can appeal against their decisions once you get the FINAL awards notice for that year and then can wipe off whatever you owe them if it is found its their error. why not have a go? you've nothing to loose
  • fill out this form and send it recorded delivery. You need to put as much detail in the notes section including any dates that you have contacted TCs. I always advice my clients (cab) to buy a diary and make notes of any communications with TC including date, time and who they spoke to and what was discussed HTH
