Ford Fiesta 55 reg - replacing mirror

Hi, hope someone may be able to help.
I have a 55 reg fiesta and have broken the passenger side mirror. The casing itself is fine but the actual mirror has come out and smashed. Could anyone tell me how much I should be looking at to have this replaced or if it would be possible to do this myself (if so how much would I be looking at for parts and what is involved)
Thank you in advance for anyone that can help.

Not done it for a while, but Halfords used to sell adhesive backed mirror glass that you just stuck over the broken mirror (after getting rid of any loose bits). They don't cost much and are dead easy to fit. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
Call your Ford dealership parts dept. They will let you know if can get mirror glass separate or if it is a whole unit. Can't think for a second that is will be expensive either way.Genie

its a fairly new car so if it was me i would get the original part from the dealer rather than using these.
have used them on older vehicles though and are ok,but prefer original part....work permit granted!0 -
I have an s-reg fiesta (previous shape to yours) and it cost me £13.43 to replace my mirror two years ago - that was from the ford dealer parts department.
they sell the mirror bit separately from the main casingIndecision is the key to flexibility0 -
halfords or similar, the actual glass just unclips0
