I am currently looking for someone to replaster part of my bedroom wall which has suffered from damp due to a leaky chimney (now fixed).
My husband will take the current plaster back to the brickwork and let it dry out for a couple of weeks, so we're just looking for someone to do the plastering.
The area to be replastered is around 2.5m wide and 3m high - how much do you think we should be paying for bonding and plastering.
Also, if anyone has used a plasterer in the Glasgow area and would be willing to recommend them, can you PM me?
Thanks!

This sounds like you could claim on your buildings insurance under 'ingress of water'. The insurance company should cover the cost of replastering and rececorating. All for the cost of your excess.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

That would be my first thought too.Contact insurance company.0

Thanks for the replies guys but the damp was there before we bought the house, so don't think our insurers would touch it.
If anyone can recommend a decent, reasonably priced tradesman (around Glasgow) to do the work I'd appreciate it!0
